I finally saw the trailer for it, and man, nothing about the trailer sells the idea that this is anything but a longer Nerve.  Certainly it's not clear that there is a prize and that this is for anything but glory in a random town.

Is the Warner sister, Dot, still cool with Zack?

OKay, so now there are three shows that make me want a paramount+ trial.

I finished watching The Nevers, which was jarring and a bit fatiguing. It made me think of Epitath One, which I don’t think is the episode of a forgotten show I’m supposed to think of first. It was helpful that I actually learned how some of the powers work, I guess.

I remember seeing this movie in a very night not-Alamo-Drafthouse style theater, and liking it well enough. I don't remember it being the same year as Bridesmaids, but I also haven't rewatched this movie.  The gynecologist joke is basically the only thing I know for sure happened in this movie.

If you had told me this was the Duncanville season finale and that the show has only been airing for two months I would have believed you.

I want to see this show so badly, but I also don't want it to last as many miserable years as Game of Thrones. Give me 3 seasons and a New Spring 5 episode prequel miniseries.

I picked up The Great Hunt before a long flight, and didn’t realize it was book 2 until I was on the plane. When I finally read book one, I was convinced I would have never read the second book if I’d read them in order.

I’ve now seen the first four episodes of Bridgerton, which feels fine, as a show. My wife previously watched the whole thing without me, which means I have to cram it into my relatively sparse solo-TV time. The “I can’t tell you why I can’t tell you” bit was old from the first appearance. Also, I had to keep looking

I have several big issues with YouTube music, since I’m using an android phone and they sunsetted the old music player: insisting that I start radio mode (with ads) and playing songs picked by the algorithm instead of music I bothered to put on my phone is miserable. The shuffle seems to repeat songs from earlier in

Honestly, I usually wanted shorter Buffy seasons when I was watching live. Now that I'm mostly not making my TV appointments, 6 and 8 episode seasons are great for letting me complete things while I still remember plot details.

Wife and I watched the first four episodes of Shadow and Bone, which are books my wife has read. I am, despite tropes, not entirely sure what is happening.

No Muppet aliens?  For shame.

Okay Netflix, I was hoping for a spinoff of Jupiter Ascending, but I'll still give it a shot.

Um definitely at fault here. I watched ten minutes of episode one and then our baby started crying and I couldn't hear, and I just never went back. I'm sorry, cast.

I saw the Girls5Eva ad earlier and legitimately couldn’t tell if it was in the 2gether universe. I remain unsure (and maybe sad about it).

I got quickly bored of the Game of Thrones show, but liked her on The Magic Ians.

Oh yeah, I also watched Sit Down, Shut Up, the weirdly not-quite-there Fox animated Arrested Development cast in a high school that aired when I was first dating my wife. It's on Tubi, and it is not beloved.

I watched the first episode of season one of the girlfriend experience (great work, targeted ads and Comcast free starz weekend). I made it ten minutes in before getting furious. The main character is a law student and studying patent law/interning with a giant law firm while sending cease and desist letters about hip

For the next few months, anything I see not at a drive in is going to be a second viewing. Once I know it was pretty on HBO, I can pony up for a vaccinated sitter and take my wife to see it. Until then, yeah, give me options.
