Worst Cooks in America: 21 February 2021 edition

We are getting close to the finale, so this week, we’re finally getting to breakfast.
Our game show competition includes traversing an obstacle course while carrying pancakes, which will then be stacked. It is as goofy as it sounds, but at least our contestants have to

I still have another week of Animal Crossing from my local library, so I’m doing some stuff, I guess. Making benches or whatever. It’s fine and low stress and I would like that.

I had forgotten about him (that was nice) for a while until he popped up in a friend’s (untagged) tweet about not autoplaying some video with him in it with a smarmy “yeah, that’s me, the creepy sex guy.”

In their dubious defense: the court apparently decided that the feeling of music could be copyrighted. I still hate that decision.

I’m ssuming you don’t practice copyright law. The perjury suit is a side note for copyright law. The original law suit and 9th circuit decision were a very big deal and we're still dealing with their impacts.

We’re back! Let’s have dessert. After a demo from Zack (who I have definitely seen on cooking shows as a guest before), the teams know how to make a cake. So let’s replicate a moderately complicated design! (The best recruit gets a main dish benefit.)
The cakes are

Saw my first advertisement for The Crew this morning and I can't wait to be inundated with them for a week because Netflix marketing makes no sense.

I wish Wanderlust had had a more satisfactory conclusion. I really dug the aesthetic of the first three episodes.

Boris, Bey, and Latifah did so much work in this movie. Remembering Bey’s stammering lovestruck sidekick is a delight, and I wish my wife was familiar with this film.

In 2020, one of the repeated conservative news talking points was that nobody would know history if it weren’t for confederate statues.

Every one knows history books were made obsolete when the first statue was made after the Civil War.

How pinot grigio-ious.

Why would you expect that a person you raised to respect privacy would require that you lock your non dangerous things in a strongbox (wild choice for the item, by the way)? Kids are selfish and stupid, but as Dan noted: if they are motivated to get whatever is in this locked space, they will figure out where the key

I watched Spies in Disguise Saturday, at random. It was pretty solid.

I sampled a bunch of shows because I can’t sleep, but also can’t stay awake.

My oldest kid is just old enough for Spy Kids and I remember tolerating the original two well enough when I was babysitting 20 years ago. I think this is fine?

I just finished watching Chilling Adventures of Sabrina last night and would very much like a palate cleanser so hecate bless Flack, which commercials have actually made look pretty great.

The best thing about this episode was the pace. It felt like a really long episode of Sabrina, but it also had actual propulsion, so that was nice.

Im glad that I’m not the only one who liked this episode a lot. I will say the review made me realize why this Sabrina didn’t have knowledge of the Eldritch Terrors that I knew Harvey had drawn and Ambrose had deciphered.
