The issue at hand has everything to do with Price being overly thin-skinned and nothing to do with innings workload

Did he have to pitch uphill both ways?

Exactly. 20 game winner, almost 200 wins, almost 400 saves, Cy Young, MVP, world champion, six time all star, pitched for 23 years, battled back from alcohol issues to become a standard bearer for the modern closer. No, that guy has no idea how tough it is.
Uh, he does have a point. Why wouldn’t she at least go on air and talk about it.
If I could remove your 200 plus stars for this dopey comment, I would ya know.
You already are vociferously objecting. But isn’t the real point that by virtue of a HOF 20-year career, that maybe Eck does indeed know how hard poor little baby David Price has it?
Haha omg are you for real!?! David how can you have time to pitch when I see you on these forums so much????
Dude, stop comparing David Price to Dennis Eckersley, just stop.
None of which changes the fact that David Price is a little bitch with skin thinner than that of the current fake president. He could throw 300 innings, but he’s still going to be a little bitch.
If you can really squint hard enough to convince yourself that Price’s career has been harder than Eckersley’s to the point where he can make the comment:
Eckersley didn’t become a full-time reliever until 8 years after his 17 CG season, then at age 32 finished with twelve years where he never pitched in less than 50 games in a season.
I think you’re sidestepping the point, which isn’t that Eckersley had a qualitatively greater accomplishment or that the usage was smarter back then, but rather that it was rougher to be a starting pitcher then than now and that Price should perhaps back off when bawling about how tough things are for modern players.
He pitched for almost twenty years after that. When Price does that, then he gets to quack.
Just what is it about his complete and total douchebag behavior represents good fatherhood? He’s a clown fool ass, an embarrassment of a human being. He’s a good father because his kids can play hoops?
Fuck off for putting a John Mayer song in my head. +1
In the confrontation between a guy who shoves a smaller player while pretending to set a screen and a guy who charges at and flattens a much larger player while not pretending to do anything other than charge at and flatten a much larger player, the latter is not the one whose toughness is “fake.”
You must be so hard for Beal right now
Its funny that one of the softest — if not THE softest - bigs in the NBA is considered a goon because of one awkward fluke play. (Sorry Kevin) He’s basically the least goon-ish big guy in the NBA. He’s a horrific rebounder, post defender. Just shoots 3s. Plays minimal D. Doesn’t foul hard, and so on.
