As a former owner of a 540I6, I can confirm the statement about the timing chain guides. I also had intake manifold gasket issues. And the 545i-745i used rubber O-rings for a coolant pipe - 20-cent part in a hot environment that fails and calls for $$$ in work. And that doesn’t cover the other crap that fails on these
