Have people seen the Alien 3 workprint cut? It's longer than the theatrical version and quite a bit better - the characters are more developed.

The second one is solid.

I'd consider "The Thing" to be more of a new adaptation than a remake.

FWIW, it's much better than the trailers made it look.

"Moonraker, despite a mind-boggling opening skydiving stunt sequence that I still have to watch through my fingers" - I think the Moore era is the worst of the Bond series, but those stunts were terrific. Also, The Warriors is dope. This is the best column on the site.
