As someone who works in the Danville/San Ramon area, Danville seems to have a more affluent and whiter population than the surrounding areas. It also seems as if this area is more conservative. Given, all of this is anecdotal, but it is a primary source observation.
With respect, I think you are mistaken. While I think the people that produce Undisclosed personally believe Adnan to be innocent, the goal of a lawyer in defense of another is not to prove innocence, but to obtain a verdict of not guilty. These 2 things are similar but absolutely not the same.
Assuming the lawyers that produce the “Undisclosed” podcast are being truthful, the work Adnan’s lawyer did seems almost negligent. Admittedly, it is a biased podcast in that they believe he is innocent, but if you were even remotely vested in Serial season 1, Undisclosed is a must listen.
