Penn and Teller used to perform on the streets here before they hit it big. there was another guy along the same strip of street performers that had a jimi hendrix puppet that i remember more vividly though.

if that was true the only movies that would be made would be transformers movies. and the financial backers would be putting their money into selling shoes or something where the profit margin is higher and the risk much lower. people get into show business for reasons other than (just) money.

my sister asked me if i liked SNF recently. my answer: no, too rapey.

he's what it says under your spoiler tag in high plains drifter. also grand torino. plus the whole dirty harry series. actually, i think it's his default character and only gets softened more or less depending on the role.

I watched The Beguiled. It was boring, but not bad, oddly. the trailer made it look to me like Gone With the Wind meets Misery, but it wasn't. what it was was ok, but i'd like to have seen everything, the sexiness, the creepiness, the suspense, basically everything, turned up at least a few notches. it's kind of

i think i'm getting to the point where greta gerwig is worth the price of admission. i guess i've only seen this and 20th century women and mistress america, but still. frances ha is on the list for sure.

oddly, it was boring but not bad. it was kind of…nothing. like there wasn't enough of it to fill out it's short run time. the trailers kind of made it look like Misery meets Gone With The Wind, but it wasn't really. everyone did a good job, but it was ultimately unsatisfying for me.

It's playing in 6 states plus DC. it's really annoying when they recommend things to "this weekend" that the majority of their readership can't do.

thanks for recommending a movie for this weekend that's playing in exactly 6 states (plus DC.)

this is nothing new at all, he's always been a huge douchebag. and he's largely responsible for foisting ann coulter on the world at large, also.

I watched Passengers and it made me actively angry, like yelling at the screen angry. if i was a hollywood exec and jon spaihts, the writer of this (and the original draft of Prometheus, which has me rethinking my stance on lindelof,) pitched this movie to me, he'd get as far as the part where i ask what the female

it's not a romance really, but Andy should have stayed with Miranda at the end of Devil Wears Prada and completed her internship. it's clear that they were both fond of each other even though miranda would never admit it to her. she also should have dumped entourage right from the get go, when he acted like a baby

so royal farms is making an incursion into wawa country here and when i found out they're famous for their fried chicken i knew i had to have some once they opened. and y'know what? it was very good. it was more like kfc than popeyes, but with better quality chicken. i like popeyes a lot, but it's a different

"when the music's over the blood price is paid."

Kat denning was fun too I thought

I guess i'm the only one, but i liked thor 2 a lot. i'd rather rewatch that than many marvel films that came after, e.g., ant-man, dr. strange.

maybe he was playing it like real world supervillain martin shkreli.

I got turned onto augustus pablo a year or two ago, great stuff.

a year, that's cute.

but that's his signature, the pools of light
