I have the exact same issue. It happens with multiple cards. 

I believe that was the problem in the first place.

III and IV were so good. Some of my fondest gaming memories and IV actually made me tear up with the twist about the Cray and the Princess Elina. That was fucked up. Never played I, II, or V.

You’ll have all the content on the PSP/Vita version as they added some characters and jobs to the mix, but PSX is still very viable. I would actually play with an emulator after you finish vanilla and get some GameShark codes to mess with the units.
