I’ve just spent 4 weeks in a Mercedes C 300 de, a plug in diesel hybrid (2 l diesel engine plus a 13kw battery). After 4000 of mostly highway and country roads kilometers, the mileage was probably less good than a 220 d, around 36 mpg. (A 220 d would have returned closer to 40 mpg, I think).

French guy here. As far as I can tell, cuties is a correct translation. Mignon (ne) is definitely non sexual. A kitten or a kid are “mignons”. But it also can get a little ambiguous : A pretty young girl/woman can be labelled as a “mignonne” and those girls being 11, they’re somewhat in between.

I think, in most sports, that the average guy is the one who benefit the most from high end gear. Beginners are too busy figuring things out. The best will compensate shitty gear. But the one who know what he is doing, but sucks... yes, he’ll feel the différence.
