So why would the KGB need an access to Henry's parents who are KGB agents? He's too young as a practical matter to be approached and therefore Chris is also too young to be an operative.

The more I think about it if you took the spy part out, would it really be that far from reality to imagine one teen helping another to stage a suicide for some reason? To manipulate a parent? They can be pretty heartless and dramatic as I recall.

Nobody there they can talk to about quitting being spies and taking their kids to Russia…

Sociopath not psychopath. Sociopaths are much closer to normal folks than you think but they do lack empathy for most people and are narcissistic. And spy work really fits people like that like a glove.

I think it is manifestly unfair to suggest Tuan doesn't deserve his own suitcase.

This show has always been good for patient fans. The slower and longer the burn the more amazing the explosion when the fuse is run to its charge.

OK the plot reason is that Tim is going to write this in his diary and Paige is going to read it. Think on that.

Who else do they have to discuss things with? Stan?

You think this episode was something wait until the Jennings start shopping for suitcases for their kids…and Tuan I suppose.

I think Elizabeth's hand holding was genuine. She AND her husband are going to save Pasha because it's the right thing to do.

I think she grabbed his hand because she loves him and because they are together in this: we don't want Pasha to die! This is wrong! It is a sign of their newfound solidarity against doing what they have been doing.

The problem will be when the authorities get involved in Pasha's suicide (attempt?) and P&E are intervening because their son knows about it and the authorities will want to find out how much he knew, and what his parents are doing, and …. their covers will likely crumble. I think the FBI may get onto them next episode

I believe it was seven years or eight. I don't know how or when he could have been recruited really…

We need to keep in mind about Tuan that he is a teenager of course and some of the things we see about him are really teenage behavior maybe magnified in his case but really not that unusual; and then he's likely a sociopath, as the kind of spying he is doing requires one who can turn off their emotions and not

That might solve the bullying but it doesn't solve the deep dissatisfaction with being in the US for Pasha. So it's not going to work.

Clearly the writers were playing with us in that scene. But I think Paige is way too strong. She has gained strength from her parents and set her course in life, to admire her parents and seek to act in the ways she thinks they have. I fear she will learn the truth, of course she will. she'll be devastated but she's

As happened last week and the week before, every scene left me with my jaw hanging. The intensity, power, unpredictability, and believability of the story lines is astonishing.

Every character is in one degree or another a victim and nearly all of them make awful moral choices at times. I mean that is the essence of this show.

I love Henry but I would like to skip that scene please.

I just don't find that credible. First I maintain Henry is THE American in the Americans. Second he is too young to be approached from outside. Third that would make Chris a KGB operative and she is way too young for that. No I think Henry is what he seems. A future Stan Beeman protege?
