Wrong show my friend!
Wrong show my friend!
And that's AWK-WARD!!
I think Elizabeth truly cares that Pasha live. IT won't compromise the mission but she is getting not to care much about that. The Elizabeth of this week is the opposite of the one of last week, and that's the point.
Henry is the only truly innocent character. I do like Oleg though his heart is good and he isn't morally compromised in the way most others are.
And he is likely a sociopath, but then sociopaths and spying are like love and marriage. But he is a sad, needy, raging inside sociopath. He wants approval and love and he's a miserable teenager, and it's hard to not get all mixed up about him because he's all mixed up.
I have thought taht all along. They were out there approaching soviet after soviet so long the KGB figured they were ripe for a double agent.
I did and I thought Sofia was a double agent to begin with. It's all much too clumsy but in that I think kind of genuine. They are a pair of double agents imho.
Have you ever dealt with teenagers as an authority figure? Dig in his heels? Perfectly normal behavior there. AND he is trying to seduce them into loving him.
They have not connected it yet but it's coming.
No the courier is a plant from the KGB. I thought the woman was too all along.
And fortunately for him he isn't married to Philip.
Oleg needs to defect to America while the Jennings need to get to Russia.
I think that one point of that was "we don't really have cosmonauts any more." Because the Soviet Union is collapsing.
Of course all hell is gonna break loose it's a season finale they need cliffhangers.
Oleg is one of the few characters who has consistently been pretty moral. He clearly has a conscience. It is not necessarily an advantage here.
That all rings true to me. The FBI and the CIA in particular are not nice people. I am not sure you want them to be of course… reality is as soon as you have secrets you have spies and counterspies and double agents and covert action and it takes people who can put morality on a shelf to do all that.
I assumed that was why he asked his mother about the camp. Getting the info for his future use.
Well it's kind of my thesis from way back that spies have a big tendency to the sociopathic. So I can't say he isn't. But I still feel a lot of that is teenage behavior, maybe the outer edges of it but yeah.
I think there is no possibility that at the end of the series Henry will be in Vermont. The US would offer him asylum if it could (but he's a citizen so it can't).
And then Stan will bring Henry, he's a pretty good hockey player…
