Dad is never going to say that. He will not go back, but mom and kid might be welcomed since they didn't want to defect and didn't even know it was happening until it did.

I think you have it wrong. And yes there is a reason he keeps begging them to stay. Tuan is a time bomb, and driven by his loneliness and lack of love, and need for acceptance and approval he takes the bullying too far and kills Pasha.
NO the other way 'round. Tuan kills Pasha because he is overcome by his loneliness and drive for acceptance and approval, he takes the bullying too far. He is a time bomb.
It seems to me nothing said on this show is not purposeful.
I think it more likely that Tuan will do something beyond the pale. He is a coiled snake, lonely, deprived of family, love, attention, cruel, heartless, wounded. He's gonna explode. Pasha might die at his hands. Something explosive is coming from Tuan.
People have complained that nothing is happening, that there are many plot lines, and no plot. They are so very wrong, we are being set up. Big time.
And the theme I see in this whole season is that everyone is disillusioned. Well not Henry but Gabriel, Philip, Elizabeth, Paige, Stan, Claudia, Oleg, his parents, Tuan, Evghenia, and soon but not yet Sophia I am sure. Things are going down-spiral. There will be no happy endings.
I firmly believe Tuan is a time bomb of loneliness and seeking attention and love. He will explode. I don't know how but he will.
Hoping you are not so stupid as to believe that lie.
He is a ticking bomb that kid. He is yes, lonely, and utterly starved for attention and love; and a fanatic to boot. He is going to do something REALLY bad, you wait and see.
Tuan is a huge ticking time bomb. He is lonely, starved for love, and fanatical. He will do something really bad here, what I don't know. But he coiled like a rattlesnake.
What about HENRY!?? I mean they haven't even bothered to talk about him by NAME this time! "He's not here." Of course he's not. He's with Chris, learning to cook meth using higher algebra to get the proportions right.
I suppose this is too obv to say but… Elizabeth, Philip, Gabriel, Oleg and even Stan are becoming deeply disillusioned people. Must have something to do with an impending end of show…
or that she COULD even talk to him about the real stories! Of course she can't!
Well…they could be half brothers…when Philip was in Vietnam, you know…
OMG that's kinda creepy!
I think you have that wrong. When area codes were first introduced in the 60s and we could direct dial instead of using an operator, we had to put a +1 and it is only since perhaps the 90s we have NOT had to do it. This is from personal memory.
I can't guarantee that he would but it's reasonable to think. If he picked up a phone book in the booth or even looked at the dialing instructions, He had to figure out to put a "1" in front. Or maybe the paper he had said it was a DC number? I mean I think this is a weak plot point but…(I think they had a different…
So it seems to me you are in a different class from Henry. They aren't indicating he's a prodigy or a math genius, just that he's very bright. (I can't figure a way to say this modestly, but I'm three nines bright and I can see your story fitting into that kind of brain power. If they had given tthat sort of…
I don't know if the writers/produces planned this or if the episodes have just had to cover so much there wasn't room for Henry stories. I do have a suspicion that a large plot is coming which will revolve around Philip's sons. I think Tuan is a ticking problem that Philip doesn't see. That boy is going to do…
