First, we need to blame America for its dumb and ugly squarish-rectangular license plate shape that doesn’t really fit the design language of any car produced after 1990. Then we need to blame the 31 states in America that require a front-mounted license plate.

I’ve had the same thought.  If I ever bought a CTS wagon, I would want it to match my CTS-V wagon for the same reasons.

I was going to suggest a Chevy Volt as well, especially if he can find a place to charge it at his work. It exactly what you want a commuter car to be - quiet, comfortable, reliable, and somewhat fun with that instant electric torque. First gens are in the low teens with higher-mile versions dropping under 10k. Second

And I failed by referencing a meme without using a photo.  We are the worst!

This is why experts think Cadillac’s Supercruise is superior. Because it will see if the driver stops paying attention and warn them, or bring the car to a stop.

I apologize for making light of what is a tough and unfair situation for you. I wasn’t being serious in that quote; I was just eager to use that Star Wars quote.

I’ve never heard of sadness yielding to anger, but the other way around.

I haven’t been to ABQ, but spent a lot of time in Las Cruces. Be prepared to have green chile everything! For example, Sonic has green chile cheeseburgers and Papa Johns has green chile as a pizza topping. Also, look up how to eat sopapillas so you don’t feel like a fool the first time you try one.

I have a 2014 Volt with 100k miles. I don’t believe the brakes have ever been changed. The front pads look minimally used and the rears look almost new.

I love the brake lights coming on mid-air as he is about to hit the tunnel wall.

I was thinking this...

It’s not true - the non DOHC cars had hoods with no bulges.

The Volt has a “remote start” button. It’s for pre-conditioning the interior. The gas engine stays off if the car has a charge, and it just starts running the climate on battery. It’s especially handy if it’s still plugged in, so it’s not losing power, just warming up the car.

Ah yes, what the guy should have used instead.

Good news!

Also GM, who I think uses an electronic lockout for reverse because you can’t get into reverse when the car is off.

All Hondas have the same part number for the oil filter EXCEPT for the S2000. The one for the S2000 was specifically designed for a higher oil pressures.

I am not an S2000 expert, but as a fellow AP1 owner, here are a few things that come to mind.

I’ve also seen it where people leave the food in ice water all day, then kick off the sous vide from their phone later in the day, so it’s ready when they get home.
