I owned a 2005 GX. All these GXs had dash-cracking issues that Lexus ended up issuing a recall for, so having the dash replaced is actually a positive as the recall is currently closed. I also had to replace my driver’s seat leather due to a small tear in the bolster.

You can turn it off in emergencies even when not in N or P. Here is the procedure from the 2023 Pilot OM:

This was going to be my next car. I was so excited for this car. But when I found out that the US version does not come with Hyundai’s excellent HUD my excitement cooled off. Compared to the Canadian market car, we also don’t get the rear sunshades or smart park.  I hate the fact that we are getting a de-contented…

For what it’s worth, I believe many have been able to get it for MSRP.

Two fold - Hyundai really does have a great heads up display and it elevated the experience. It’s disappointing that this halo model doesn’t have it in the US, when it has it in every other world market. Also, I don’t want to buy one this year and find out they offer it as an option next year.

Can someone who has access to the Hyundai PR team find out why it seems as though the US Ioniq 5 N does not have Hyundai’s awesome HUD at least available as an option? They supposedly made some specific N enhancements to it, but none of the US show cars have had it and it’s not mentioned at all in the price…

Hybrid systems usually use the electric motor, not the alternator. The difference here seems to be that in most hybrids, the ICE will spin the electric motor to generate the electricity (when not in power mode or regen mode), whereas the E-Ray will use regen exclusively to recharge the battery.
