They’re rubbing a throwback livery now.

Wasn’t even aware Red Bull Cola was still a thing. I haven’t seen it since not long after it was launched.
I hope they keep the colour scheme. The Torro Rosso has been one of the best looking cars on the grid for the past couple of years. It puts the senior Red Bull cars to shame on looks.
Not sure Europe had much time for such feelings, as they were concentrating on re-building a whole continent and having communism on its doorstep. I’m watching the Kenneth Branagh-narrated CNN Cold War documentary at the moment. It’s fascinating and scary at the same time, but I’m learning so much about European…
Do the customer teams always get the same spec engine though? This is what I have to wonder.
Which is a load of bullshit as long as three of the four suppliers have factory teams.
Does that really sound like him to you? I struggle to think of one more instance where Hamilton has been a “bigger picture” kind of guy. He’s one of the most self-absorbed drivers out of a field of particularly self-absorbed drivers (it’s what puts me off him, and a lot of F1 in general these days - and yes, I know…
Are you saying he hasn’t, basically, had the best car every time he’s won something, and, usually, his entire team bending over backwards on his every whim? I make my assessment based on the results. I never claimed to have a more informed assessment than anyone else. It just strikes me that Hamilton rarely says…
Like everyone here, I’m guessing. Unless there’s an F1 driver posting on Kinja that we didn’t know about?
If that’s the case, then that’d make him even more shallow than I’d given him credit for. I can’t believe an F1 driver is going to be entirely motivated by the accumulation of wealth alone.
You do know what the story you’re commenting under is about, right?
Then why would he be afraid of creating some more?
What motivates him if it’s so easy all the time?
Oh that old chestnut.
Yes! My philosophy exactly!
In other words: he’s worried his talent might let him down since the car might not be as all-conquering as his current one.
And the new Juke will be disposing of the CVT, too.
Close. Hyundai Trajet. Or my brother’s XC90. I haven’t driven many big things...
I think there’s a lot to be said for that alright, but even between rival teams, there’s more respect and sportsmanship than I’ve seen in other formulae. There are always exceptions to prove the rule, of course, but in general, the paddock at the likes of Le Mans seems to be a fairly friendly place.
I can see how that would get grating after a while (NASCAR doesn’t get much coverage here in Europe, so I can’t comment directly on it). F1 is kind of going that way (though it always had the potential, back when there were drivers with actual personality).
You beat me to it.
