This is definitely product placement.

Not for the pre-2015 Leaf models. 2016 maybe. But Nissan’s battery warranty is only triggered at 65% of original capacity.

I bought a Leaf with a good battery warranty and a shitty battery (lost 3rd bar on the first 0-degree day of the year). I hope Nissan is still honoring warranties next year when my battery capacity shits the bed.

2 C-halves

I mean, there’s a lot of shitbox EVs out there with terrrrrible range. Their use case is very narrow: useful for short-medium commutes with convenient charging available at work or at home (maybe even both are necessary) and used as a second vehicle. This is my use case for my shitbox Leaf. It saves me no money after

Did she collect ALL the oddly shaped rocks, though?

Why don't cars, trucks, etc have mandated wheel tethers? I see a lot of cars in the mountains missing wheels, with no wheels in sight, here in Colorado.

We get 21mpg in my wife’s 2015 escape. It does have awd, ecoboost, a ski rack and blizzak ws90s, so it’s a winter beast. But its gas mileage sucks, compared to that 3 row suv.

Over 700 gallons of water. That's a lot. I would think that they would press it more so they would be able to ship more pulp per load, but maybe it compromises the fibers before further processing.

It’s so lean that it’s 0. No detonation, it’s just an air pump.

I don’t think you’re saving efficiency by having a combined solar inverter/charger. Unless it’s CCS or CHAdeMO you are still AC charging. Maybe less wiring to do, but still inverter to 240Vac/split phase 120Vac.

I think festoon bulbs are so called because they "hang" from the ends. Not sure why glass tube fuses aren't "festoon" fuses though.

I was thinking it was to make the cavity small enough to avoid the manual trunk release.

Uh, I mean there was a concept, but the eradication of food sources and violating treaties while pointing at “the savages” violating the same treaties seems like it wasn’t much respected. White people stole this land, through white people legal means, but they stole this land.

Re: the lack of rear sway bar, the geometry of the rear coilovers is designed for roll to have a greater motion ratio than jounce. It probably made the interior rear packaging a little tougher with the shock mounts closer to the center but it probably allowed them to remove some unsprung weight and gain a little more

When I lived in a house with a steep driveway I would bump start it almost every morning. That starter and battery probably had the least use of any car on the road.

A half barrel keg (most common size, 15.5 us gallons) weighs shy of 170 lbs. That’s an adult weight.

I have the idiotic 20"s on my secondhand fx4. Ride was terrible until I upsized tires to 34" when I needed new rubber. Now it’s a floaty bouncy dream. Those 55 profile tires on a truck are awful.

Trailer hitch basket with small 120v Genny? Or even 3ph trailer Genny if you're doing the fast charge thing.

I would make the road narrower through the bridge using flexible bollards. People forget how tall they are, but they’ll slow down for narrow roads.
