I honestly have seen a lot of hits but none that (I’m aware) were career ending or paralyzing (at least not live). Most recently I’ve seen a lot of knee and leg injuries which (while horrible) are easier to write of an ignore. Plus a lot of those can be written off to “illegal hits” if you’re looking for excuses

Shout out to commenter Beowulfensteiner for bringing this up yesterday.

FWIW I remembered PBA from a couple PSAs Barry Sanders made about the condition, though I didn’t bring it up in this article because Sanders was being paid by a drug company that makes PBA medication.

Yes but the Mac doesn’t look like a 12 year old designed it.

How on earth is it a legitimate competitive disadvantage? The Wizards are carrying the 11th-highest player payroll in the NBA this season. They’re paying out 10 million more dollars just this season than the Celtics, who, barring catastrophic injuries, will finish far ahead of them in the standings. If they have that

Leonsis isn’t the guy who “did it the right way.” That was Pollin. Pollin paid to build the Verizon Center. Leonsis just bought it from his estate.

He actually meant OPP, because he’s down with it.

It’s doubly fun because for years Zobrist was every hack sportswriter’s go to for why WAR was a bunch of made-up nonsense.
