Actually... you’re all wrong. The history goes back as far as 1885 when Edward J. Claghorn devised the first U.S. patented (# 312,085) vehicular seat belt. The first “production” car to have seatbelts was the Tucker (1948) followed by Volvo introducing the safety feature a year later in mass-production.
