Thing is, Reynolds has been trying to get this movie done for eleven years. Over a decade. No one wanted to touch it. He didn’t just sit back at some bar and go, “I think I am going to make a Deadpool movie.” And two weeks later started filming.
To me Reynolds has always had that snarky sensibility that lends itself to Deadpool. Definitely a better fit than Green Lantern.
