He say 15 years ago, which means 2008 and the 7th generation of consoles. Which was all around a pretty shitty time for most japanese devs. The was a large amount of general xenophobia or just outright racism towards japanese game not getting with the times and all that. So really this tracks.

I’m so tired of corporate bluster and pomp, that I’m glad this happened. It’s interesting how the strategy now is to downplay it like, “it’s no big thing if we can’t get the acquisition through.”

No, gaslighting based on the score would be if the game told the player all racers were weighted the same, and that the player must be imaging that they’re being penalized for being a certain character. The player “feeling tricked or lied to” doesn’t make it gaslighting. Gaslighting is about convincing the person

It was also just released on NSO a couple of weeks ago. I imagine more people are playing it right now than in decades.

Now playing

So, not the startup sound, just the “chug” that played on PS1 and PS2 ads when the logo showed up?

The problem is there isn’t really such a thing as “true imagination”. Every creative work is ultimately just remixing the creators own experiences, knowledge, and influences. AI can’t go beyond it’s dataset for the same reason we can’t, doing so just produces nonsense and noise. We need to have a conversation about

I’d argue that at this point Misty’s age is ambiguous. Sure, she was like 12 back when the anime started, but in the games (which her design on these cards are based on) time has clearly passed since then.

F you play the game? I don’t, but I do play magic, and that Starmie V looks ridiculously better than hoothoot does. The former is a powerhouse that can one shot your opponent and the latter is a tech card.

I get where you are coming from. But implying that 2 dudes being friendly with each other should be gay also diminishes that 2 dudes can also be open with each other and trust each other in a way that isn’t “toxic masculinity”. What I mean to say is they are best friends who care about each other. Atlus definitely

Why is it necessary? why force it? I am a gay man I do not need every game or media to have a character that represents me, even less when is done JUST to include it without real heart or purpose. I never saw any of them as being gay, and never had the illusion of them being gay, they do not have a gay story, so why

The same applies to capitalist games, though, doesn’t it? Or similar. Instead of straight-up corruption on the same scale, you’d be forced to deal with companies and their owners refusing to behave, refusing to comply with the law, insisting on exporting all their goods outside the country instead of letting you buy

“The economy is doing fantastic, poors! Covid is over!”

Meanwhile in America

You expect them to go through every line of code and compare it to every other mod in existence to make sure it wasn’t originally from a different mod? That seems.... excessive. Oh wait, no, it doesn’t seem that way, it actually is that way. If Modder A screws over Modder B and doesn’t give them credit for their work,

So it actually was unintended on CDPR’s part, one modder screwed over another modder, not the company.

hmm. I’d like to see if sales fell across the board, or if the type of game matters. For example, I’m a fan of Jurassic World Evolution 2, which I totally plan to buy once it leaves GP, but that game is kind of open-ended, make-your-own-fun kind of deal. But I wouldn’t pay for, let’s say, Immortality which I finished

I’ve seen debate on whether WWHD’s lighting looks better or worse than the original. It kinda changes the look of the game.

One thing to think about though, games like Xenoblade Chronicles 3 looks better and runs better than the previous game, so it’s possible to get more out of the console given some time.

Watched it for 30 minutes, laughed more than I have at 30 minutes of “written” comedy in ages. It’s absurd, it doesn’t make any sense, and because it’s not adhering to typical formulaic comedy tropes or setups it is able to surprise you (destruction of an expectation is the root of the majority of good comedy).

I’ll

This is dope lol. You don’t even have to beatmatch to be a DJ anymore, who tf cares. We’ve always been using tech to enable art. Everyone is always just so quick to hate everything. “Slipper slope”...? That’s a Boomer ass argument lol
