Ok, i get that....but i feel like they have to get him playing minutes somewhere...he has to learn how to have fun again on a basketball court....in one of those videos where his jumper is clean, he misses and throws his head back in disgust....as if to say “but I did everything right on that shot and i still missed.”

It still doesn’t totally make sense to me that a shooting form that was working perfectly well in SL would be so drastically reworked, without it being a result of an injury—perhaps one that is lingering pain, albeit “medically cleared.”

I don’t think the “yips” explains his limited range of motion (ie, the “shot put” style of heaving the ball) and the variance in arm strength from shot to shot. The diagnosis of scapular dyskinesis explains it much more cogently, including lack of muscular control and muscle strength.

I buy both of these possibilities equally.

I saw that someone explained why the different-sized balls is bad from a physiological perspective, but the only thing I can think of is that they’re trying to get him to forget about mechanics and just “feel” the ball. He’s obviously got something akin to the yips, so maybe the idea is that if he’s unexpectedly

This is as plausible an explanation as anybody has offered so far! Thanks.

“Like, just intuitively, what would this sort of drill prepare you for?”

Obviously not even close to the same thing, but in my tennis playing youth I had a similar issue. I was pretty decent as a youngster and would draw praise from coaches, but they all hated my swing and especially my serve which was unorthodox. One coach decided he’d reconstruct my serve and it all went to shit. I think

Agreed. It has gone too far. Maybe limiting the number of quads and giving more weight to the artistic portion would help. But, this judge corruption bullshit is the ultimate issue. And I don’t know how to fix that.

Quads are overrated. At some point the men’s competition will just be dudes skating in circles attempting 8 quads per routine. Boring.

A Canadian is going to get angry? Woah, this must be serious.

I’m Canadian and for real I will flip a table if Virtue and Moir don’t win. I remember raging out in 2002 also. You’re not wrong that the judging is super corrupt but you are WRONG that nobody cares. Godddd why did you bring up Sale and Pelletier now I’m all heated.

He is also utterly incapable of playing anything even close to winning basketball, and that is that. The only way that he knows how to exist on an NBA floor is with a style of play that he is hilariously incapable of executing with any degree of efficiency.

Headline should read, “Local Branch of Global Pedophile Ring Expels Member for Loving Marital Relationship With Adult.”

Nothing more authentic than ditching Oakland for SF.

You know all those people who moved in and drive gentrification and the homogenization of your cities? This is who the article is for.

I don’t believe this was written by a person, but an AI program using a state of the art neural network. It’s actually pretty sophisticated stuff, once you can stare past the literary uncanny valley.
