IT could be possible that this video was shot on the DSLR and they are cueing the pre-phone footage using the DSLR. If you watch the video, you can clearly see that the guy is posing with the phone and then they cut to a still. The still could still POSSIBLY be taken with the phone. I stopped reading when he said to coast in neutral while braking. Not safe and most cars shut off the fuel injectors when coasting in gear so you are actually hurting your MPGs and losing that helpful engine braking.
