I don’t think it’s right to label just any pay dispute as a labor concern though? At no point did they ever avoid going union or try to pay under the union rates.

These people don’t deserve to be regarded as Parents. When you start screeching at children for drawing cartoon characters, you lose the right to that term.  They’re just members of a hate group that happen to have children.

I wouldn’t.  Why would you?  The only account of them underpaying their staff has documented evidence as false.  If one person says they underpaid and is shown to be a liar, it’s not reasonable to resume the assumption that they underpay.

It’s generous by industry standards. I think it would be great to spark a larger conversation about VAs being offered residuals as a standard, but that conversation shouldn’t be centered around the idea that PlatinumGames is culpable for the entire industry underpaying.

This was more of less what I needed from them at this point. Just SOME kind of statement telling people to fuck off from their staff and actors. While I obviously wish they’d come out and dumped the whole tea, they aren’t about to violate an NDA and risk partnership with Nintendo.

I don’t think people who argue about that when the pot is this big understand how much money that actually is...
