I second that. For websites, maybe (still a bit too small) but people see actual objects with much, much higher resolution than stuff on monitors. I think I went down to like 8 or even 6 point on mine and there aren't any readability issues, as far as I know and as far as how people have responded to them.

Somehow I doubt that none of the people whose work has been highlighted here are mere "amateurs." In fact, I'm willing to bet most, if not all, of them are, in fact, professionals in the field who happened to create these as fun exercises. I doubt they'd appreciate being called amateurs and having their work attacked…
