I’m glad you wrote this. I’m glad you’re still here, doing what you do. I have no idea how much longer that’s going to last, but the world needs this kind of journalism - politics, sports, gaming, whatever - and I’m glad we still have parts of it for now.

I generally flip between Kotaku and Jalopnik, and will continue to do so for now. I’m waiting to see how it all turns out.

I’m already reading Kotaku less now that I can’t just keep flipping between it and Deadspin, which I guess is my compromise in this whole deal.

If boycotting G/O Media means not reading Kotaku or Jalopnik or A/V Club or The Takeout, are we hurting G/O Media or just hurting the individual teams that make up this network?

This is another amazing write-up, Heather. I love to read your stories and gather some insight into what you do and how it’s done.

It was difficult at times, on the other side, feeling torn between anger and despair over what happened at Splinter and Deadspin and wanting to continue to support writers who are still working for G/O Media. I did my best throughout to remember that all of you are in a far more difficult position and not to

As an avid reader of both Deadspin and Kotaku (and visiting sister sites when cross posted), I don’t have the same amount of zeal visiting after losing one. It truly is a bummer.

Thanks for the tip. This place sounds heavenly.

The thing about bison is that it is way too easy to overcook. The irony of it is that it should be cooked to medium rare or less and that it should be safer than cow meat when cooked to lower temps.

We ain’t planning on going anywhere! Tell your friends! I’m looking to throw a party up in this bitch and everyone’s invited.

Time for me to get all sappy, but shit, it’s Friday.

If anyone finds themselves getting grayed, comment one of my posts. I always check the pending comments on my stories.

Palate cleanser. Listen to the whole thing.

This is such a mixed week. I hate that management has been fucking everything up, but the writing staff has been referencing it in such a variety of creative ways. From one-off remarks in the middle of an otherwise serious article, to the amazing Lifehacker “how to write an open letter to your dipshit boss” article,

Sorry, Sam but that’s not nearly gay enough

Since I’m guessing most the trolls left when the comments sections started getting disabled and Splinter got axed completely, I’ll be that guy.

Yo, congrats to you and the rest of your crew for standing up for what you believe in.

Thank you for this, I have spent all morning looking for a website to tell me who won last night’s game.

jez finally becoming a sports blog is quite the silver lining here.

If you’re not supposed to swallow it, it’s gum. Or chewing tobacco. Or Hardee’s.
