I just had flashbacks of the fairly regular Baldwin McDonald’s pit-stop involved in a Twin Cities run. Either just for bathroom breaks or to have a snack before I drove home. I never went to the A&W though!
Bring back Grapefruit Tango!!!
I think you mean “Lola.”
I moved to Chicago a few years ago and I was surprised by how few average, consistent restaurants were available. There’s ton of really good/expensive restaurants and really cheap spots, but hardly anything in the middle.
Starred purely for your lovely prose.

As someone who grew up on vinegar-based southern pulled pork, I found their regular BBQ too aggressively smokey with a sauce that was too sweet. (Though the burnt ends basket was pretty good.) You leave CJ out of this!!
Ahem! It is Melanie Griffith, not Meg Ryan. ;) (I say that only as an adoring fan of Melanie Griffith’s performance in Working Girl, one of my all time favorite movies.)
And you may ask yourself, why is his suit so large?
And you may ask yourself, didn't they have a suit in his size?
I also have a fondness for the version of "A Sort of Homecoming" from Wide Awake rather than the studio version.
