I agree with you. I bemoan what happened to my home state after I became part of The Big Sort while recognizing that I was part of the progressive exodus that changed things...and I try not to let myself forget that when being upset at the way things are in the place I left behind...

As you know, Wisconsin was the birthplace and home of the Progressive Movement.

My hometown A&W drive-in (where all the Little League teams would get either rootbeer—if you lost—or ice cream—if you won) made me crave them for life. They quit being an A&W and turned into a mom & pop place...but the pizza burgers and the root beer wasn’t the same.
