What? You mean I can use zip ties to ...tie ... cables together? My head may explode.

Computer submitted statements and tax return comparisons are not audits and require no personnel. The IRS issues them usually a full year after the return is filed. A 1099-c also doesn’t mean it was filed the year there was a problem — it is filed the year the lender gives up trying to collect. The 1099-c may be…
As an aside, I use the slightly more powerful T61 as my main computer. I have Linux Mint with XFCE and it runs beautifully. Still, just to tinker, I am going to try PIXEL.
I am an above average computer user and have tinkered around for over 20 years, but am not even close to being a “power” user. However, I installed Linux Mint, XFCE desktop with a 250 gig SSD and my antique Lenovo T61 performs very, very well. I can’t use all the extra “cool” settings on my wireless scanner and I…
From my experience with SE individuals grossing less than $100k.
you are 100% correct - but one is not better than the other. I like my gin martinis shaken and my Manhattans stirred - the customer should either know the difference or be informed of the difference. The technique is important - the result is individual taste. Ask the bartender - how will this affect the taste of my…
Without going into detail on each item, I have to say the fish sauce recommendation is excellent. If you’ve never tried it, buy a small bottle and DO NOT SMELL IT upon opening. The taste with veggies is phenomenal.
I have used my long handled Merkur for two years now without complaint. I have used Feather, Merkur, and Astra blades - no real difference to me. If you are used to a thirty second shave with a triple edged razor, this will not impress you - the Merkur is a smooth, slow shave. I have no intention of ever switching…

I have no problems with 50/50, but if you are talking two liquor drinks why not go for 66/33 “nail drinks” - rusty nail, black russian, stinger, godfather, godmother, brave bull, among others.
That is a great idea. I am pickling some watermelon rind right now and trying to think of something interesting to mix with it. (yes, I know rum + tequila will work by themselves, but that’s kind of dull)
When this happened at the bar I worked at we used a plastic soda straw to get corks out. You bend the bottom three inches or so, slide it under the cork, and pull up. It’s the same idea as the ribbon, but easier because the straw is less flexible making it easier to “hook” the cork.
Broccoli slaw is fine - do NOT buy any bagged stuff. It’s like buying a veggie burger with Velveeta and a soda. (side note: bean burgers with quality cheddar is great. Even with great bacon - it just isn’t very trendy.) I don’t think one should eat for a cause or a diet - eat cause it is sustainable and yummy.
Anchovies are awesome - I puree them in many things to up the flavor. I also use the soybean oil in the canned tuna for the vinaigrette in the salad. They also work great in most tomato sauces.
I carry a thermos of cold brew - one of the little portable ones - add some water and nuke it. Viola!
I always think of Sriracha as the perfect “gateway drug.” If you taste Sriracha and think it is like licking Satan’s testicles - fine. But if you taste it and enjoy it, the possibilities become endless. I was so inspired by tasting Sriracha I spent an entire summer making my own from scratch. Not difficult at all and…
You really hit some of my favorites with this - Gerolsteiner, Campari, + Lillet. Let me also suggest Pimm’s Cup, slices of blood orange, dashes of angostura, as other ingredients.
I’m all for tinkering but will a raspberry pi3 do anything an old P1 / P2 couldn’t do? I have a ton of old hardware and I would be curious to do some of these projects but can’t rationalize buying even more stuff. Can you throw bluetooth into a P1 laptop?

Yep. Buy it. I have totally abused mine over the last 10 years and after some re-seasoning, it’s good to go. I’ve used vinegar, baked it in a covered outdoor grill until it caught on fire, forgotten about it in an oven, not dried it properly so it rusted and so on. Worst case scenario - I cover it in oven cleaner,…

Bitters are awesome - expensive up front, but a little goes a long way. I recommend starting with Angostura bitters before trying Peychaud or Orange bitters. From there, Fee Brothers make a huge variety and of course, you can always make your own. I would caution about the importance of using the right bitters for the…
I hear the IRS has a “lean sigma six” team. Even Orwell’s head would explode.
