Looks like even installing wget for a non-terminal savvy is far too non-trivial to be really worth it anyways, though, in terms of time comsumption.

@TheFu: Thanks for clarification. I just wonder, though, will wget return a screenshot?

@TheFu:I have no idea what you're saying. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

@theminimalist: Yeah, probably the best solution. I am still hoping someone would remember the name of the program, though ;)

@motoxer4533: Thanks. Not quite what I am looking for, though. I can't make the software actually work; even if it did, I'd have to have remember to load the page in the browser before the screenshot is taken. So not really useful in this situation.

Hello. I am looking for an application or a service that'd grab a screenshot from a website on a schedule. Say, each monday, it'd go to whateverwebsite.com and yank a screenshot from there and save the product somewhere to be looked at later.

It's quite an achievement to make an app look equally horrible on Mac and Windows.

Nevermind, I just bought a Mac.

@shkm: Who decides what a standard feature is? It's obvious that the ideas of how a browser should be is converging - the new Firefox 4 closely resembles Opera 10.6 in its layout, for instance. But is that a good thing? I mean, that all browsers are slowly evolving to be the exact same? I don't think so.

@Diminuendo: You'd think wrong, then. Opera is not a flawless browser, there's plenty of other things the developers could work on that loyal Opera users would benefit far more from.

@Arkatek: Opera is in a position to go whichever way they want with their browsers - like focusing on actual standards.

@shkm: Ah, you're clearly confusing catching up with sucking up. That is what they're doing. And it is a regrettable move.

Much-needed catchup? Less thick headed commenters would take that as an insult towards Opera! Just because it has gone its own ways instead of those of depraved browsers like Firefox and Chrome, doesn't mean it is Opera who has catching up to do...

Threads are okay - except when there's no way to detach a mail from a thread where it has no business, which Gmail won't let you.

I do use Chrome frequently; especially for web apps like Gmail and Remember the Milk.

I started using a locally savedTiddlyWiki to compile all sorts of data and information that pertains to my job function that I frequently access.

I do something similar (involving plastic sheet covers, though). And it does help me remember bringing any outgoing mail with me when I am leaving.
