Curiosity made me want to try linux. My first install was Mandrakelinux back in 2003, I think. Tried a host of different distros but never really made the switch - except for shorter periods. Often contemplating switching entirely... also contemplating quitting smoking and losing weight.

I'll stick with Speed Dial. My employer will agree that it's a good idea to leave this extension alone.

@Pikadude No. 1: I do understand that. And that is why it is neither a Windows download nor relevant to the vast majority of Windows users.

VOTE: Opera's Magic Wand

Please stop confusing everyone! If it's not natively supported under Windows it is not a Windows download!

WinSCP.

@capintro: Ah, roger that. Yes, I have heard complaints about the interface not being shiny enough, too. I prefer the default appearance which goes well with the Window Classic layout in XP.

Whoops. Didn't notice that capintro had already mentioned The Bat! And it's true that The Bat! is probably not what you want if you crave proper HTML handling, but great if you're a zealous plaintexter. I don't agree about the interface, though - I find it very clean and intuitive.

The option only to reply to selected text and very flexible template options - both more traditional templating as well as quick templates - with scripting is the chief reasons I dimed out and bought a license for The Bat!.

Or switch to Opera.

@ibvirginian: I resent that remark. I neither complained about Lifehacker's coverage of Apple devices nor ridiculed users of such devices.

How about just forgetting iAnything alltogether?

@Peter Dahl: Nope. I didn't hate to do it. It was necessary. What I meant was: I had to vote "Other".

VOTE: Whatever's available.

But what a hideous new skin... black tabs? How on earth did the concentrated effort on improving usability end there?

The kestrel soars!
