To follow up a bit: shouldn’t this wanton admission of criminal guilt inspire prosecutors to try especially hard to build a case against the person? They know the person’s guilty, now they just need the dirt. That may be tough, but it seems it could be worth it. Some intrepid prosecutor could make quite the career on
