Eh, it’s a competitive game. Should football hurry up and find a way to put 15 on a side for people who have more than 10 friends? As others have pointed out, I think this is more likely a problem for 1s and 2s where you have individuals or pairs teaming up to make teams of 2 or 4 when it is supposed to be 1 or 2.

I mostly commented for this statement in the post: “We actually tried to team up the game prior” - which suggested to me they didn’t know this was against the rules. Clearly having a friend accidentally on the same server is no issue, but having them in the same voice channel is a gray area and specifically working…

Just so you know, teaming up like that (to have 8 folks on the same 4-man server) is a bannable offense.

My point wasn’t that you should start group-housing your mice; my point was that experimental conditions matter and there is no magic solution to invalidate the concerns raised in the article.

Single housing mice causes them stress. This stress might impact the results or change the scope of your study as well.
