Here’s a controversial take - the Orochi looks a lot better than the internet thinks. Since it was scooped up by the “we make listicles about things you’re supposed to hate” crowd, it has got this reputation for being unspeakably ugly, when it’s really not. Too much going on - Coco Chanel, she who said “before you

Beat the SUV craze by a generation.

Jason, there’s no need to go nuts over this. I know we’d all be screwed without the various types of fasteners in our cars, but this was hardly a riveting post. (Although, I will say that photo of the Spyker shows they really know how to nail an interior.) I realize you’re probably just trying to hit your quota so you

Yeah, I’m actually an engineer at GKN which is one of the RDM suppliers for GM. We have two types of RDM one is called a “Booster” and it has a traditional differential and a clutch pack. The other is called a “Twinster” and it has no differential but has the twin clutch packs

You are correct that there is not a traditional diff. Twin clutch RDM’s are common on the higher end GM AWD vehicles. The Ford Focus RS also had a twin clutch RDM

“and now you can get it in something other than a silly looking MINI.”

This is one of the two rams that flip the pickup, I’m guessing 10" diameter piston with o rings inside, giving theoretical max thrust (at 2000 psi max tank pressure) of 158,000 lbs per cylinder (79 sq in piston area) Of course that is overkill so everything would be de-rated for safety.

The van driver should have pulled over on his own Accord. Now he’ll going to get a Civic lesson on hit and runs. Hopefully the punishment Fits the crime and he goes on an Odyssey to his local penitentiary.

The BMW M30 inline-six. In production for 25 years in various iterations including factory carbs, fuel injection, and turbocharging, it begat the race and street M88/S38 M engines.

LOL!

Now it’s a Porsche Taycan’t.

I heard there’s a crazy person on Jalopnik that drives a Pao, maybe he’d volunteer to convert his Pao into a Ka-Pao!

um, hold on a min

I work with databases for a living, in a sales adjacent role. Most of what I do yields exactly nothing tangible.

With my current small car (e36 m3) I just poke my head to the left of the lead vehicle. So that I drive in a stagger where the second car (me) is closer to the middle line than the lead car. I do this to “check” on how traffic is behaving.

I don’t know what modifications are allowed, either, but I don’t think it would really need any help to beat up on a bunch of weed-eater-powered Austins and such on any course with decent straights. The 7L engine had 345 hp and an assload of flat torque, but even the 5.8L had around 300 hp and more torque than

Holy crap, how’d I forget to include the m1.

Palate cleanser:

While 300+mph is awesome, for 75% of the world the holy grain-type milestone is 500km/h. It’s hard to believe that they are “quitting” less then 10km/h away from that mark.
