3500 / 1600kg sounds really reasonable limit. I actually fail to see the appeal of M3 convertible. Convertibles are not meant for going properly fast. It would make more sense to keep the proper M cars proper. 335i convertible should be fast enough for people who want to enjoy open top.

To be honest, I do think the term SUV is not fitting for Defender, G-Wagen or other such machines. They are proper offroad 4x4 vehicles. Very pure machines at that. SUV is the first of those crossover terms that have come to be during last 15 or 20 years and is fitting for other type of vehicles.
