I'm a borderline alcoholic but there's quite literally no way I would touch a drink while on that show, especially after like 20 days. It would not end well.

Lays? Really? Old Dutch and PC both shit all over Lays. Lays are easily the worst chips on the Canadian market.
Easily my favourite Canadian artist, both with the band and solo. I was about to make a post lamenting the 1000 posts here with no mention, until I found yours way down here.
My favourite thing about this show? Natalia Dyer.
Just awful.
No mention for the actual source of the data, the phenomenal metal-archives.com?
"artist"
A Prayer For Owen Meany changed me for the better. Cliche, but fuck it.
Its not a masterpiece but I always look forward to it. Seasons 2 and 3 are stronger than the first.
Great post. I have a list of these every week that I just can't be bothered to articulate, because it seems that (by and large) this show is immune to actual criticism on most outlets I frequent. The cheerleading is incessant, yet the writing and character development is so, so bad. Yet, like you, I keep watching…
I totally agree.. but I fear we're in the minority.
It predates colonialism. The British used it explicitly as a political tactic. It has everything to do with caste.
List is incomplete without Book of the New Sun, the best marriage of sci-fi and fantasy in all literature.
Such a weird song. At first I totally hated it, but as the season progressed I grew to absolutely love it. As with some of the other musical choices it is completely "on the nose," but all the same it just works because of both the images and the general theme of the show. It was a brilliant choice.
I love metal and think Stephen O'Malley is among the rare class of "genius" musicians in the genre but Sunn O))) are just boring. Black One verged on interesting but only a few fleeting moments from the rest of the discography have managed to keep me interested. They seem like the sort of band that AVClub will give…
"we ask that you please bear with us…" just KILLS me every time. I 100% agree with you.
Varner is killing it out there. He's playing the field and has everybody on his side, top game so far. Terry also did well with recognizing an opportunity to be a decent human being, which he is, and making a connection in the process.
Eli Roth is the very definition of a hack. 100%. H-A-C-K.
I noticed this too. Very weird.
Fiona O'Shaughnessy will make you eat your words.
