To be fair, I was rolling my eyes.

So erm, what would happen when Bill dies, naturally, or otherwise? Seems like a lot of effort for a short reign.

Oh my! Layers!

Bit of a letdown after one excellent episode and one that was above average.

1. It strikes me that the main problem is the politicization of science, which shouldn't be a political football in the first place.
2. People seem to have a fairly wistful view of the good ol' days when we could have polite political conversations and disagreements. That, by and large, seems to me to be an

With the new series. Yeah, definitely a problem. The old series had quite the variety of companions. Why they don't do the same with the new series is beyond me. It would have helped immeasurably with the extraneous and counterproductive unrequited love/will they won't they romantic drama nonsense that has come up

Well, the tin dog was essentially a rolling, talking sonic screwdriver. I've yet to see Nardole do anything helpful, though his smartassery is amusing.

So… Bill's suit didn't have enough of a charge to kill her but it did have enough of a charge to maintain a force field around her head and move around by itself?

Yeah. It's the difference between knowing complicity and cooperation and letting yourself become an ideologue, kinda like the difference between Vichy France and the Nazis. Hard to say which is worse.

You can tell it's a game to him, as he spouts rhetoric that gets parroted on alt-right sites.

Yeah. Jeff Lord isn't only an idiot, but i think some of the stuff he has to say is downright dangerous.

Except when it's Jeff Lord, who just so happens to be on AC's show every night. He gets one point for going after Kellyanne but loses several million for keeping Trump surrogates on payroll and giving them a platform on his show every single night.

they have full time trump surrogates on payroll (!!). I stopped watching CNN long ago. I respect AC as a skilled interviewer and talented communicator, but CNN's politics-as-bloodsport/we're-balanced-if-we-have-partisan-hacks-representing-BOTH-sides is tired, pointless, and aggravating.

Let's break this down a little. Kellyanne just did what Jeffrey Lord and Kayleigh McEnany do EVERY NIGHT on Anderson Cooper's show - justify the unjustifiable post hoc by deflecting, obfuscating, and outright lying.
AC gives Jeff and Kayleigh a platform to peddle their misinformation every single night, and yet AC

The competence and transparency of this administration continues to impress.

to me, it's just odd that people are trying so hard to "understand" the series. Surrealism isn't amenable to being "understood" in a rational sense — it's about conveying abstract concepts through nonrational means.

It was two people who knew the game, and it was written and acted as such. Great scene.

I'm not sure it's all that different from BB from a pacing perspective. BB had numerous lengthy scenes akin to Mike taking apart his car. The search for the ricin cigarette, stealing that barrel of meth precursor, walter's onscreen preparation of various nebulous plots and plans, cookin' meth, cookin' the books,

And I'm sure that show would have been great too.

I can't get over how well this show portrays lawyering and the different kinds of lawyers out there. There are the grinders (Kim), the eggheads (chuck), the communicators (jimmy), and the managers (Howard). Each is a near perfect archetype.
