Billy Ocean? Billy Ocean!!!
Billy Ocean? Billy Ocean!!!
Yeah, I reckon that's true. Because if you were gonna send someone undercover as a spy, you'd probably want a world-famous musician.
The synth hook on "Wishing" was rather unexpectedly resurrected on Bruce Springsteen's "We Take Care of Our Own".
Worth pointing out that in real life Sid was creeping round Barbara Windsor with a fair degree of success, seeing as they had a 10-year affair.
A couple of years ago a journalist on the Guardian, struggling for a story, decided to watch Carry On Dick (Turpin, if you were wondering) on daytime television and liveblog his reaction to it. http://www.theguardian.com/…
Everybody still does.
I can see why it's ground-breaking and all the rest of it, but if I'm being really honest I don't "love" it. I like it but it's not something I turn to regularly.
I like Closing Time but didn't come close to finishing Picture This.
I actually liked it. It's no Catch 22 - but what is?
And it has just had the same effect on me. Sat at my desk. In work. People are staring.
My favourite would be when it was suggested to Snoopy that he needed to focus on characterisation at the start of his novel, so he went with the opening line "He was a dark and stormy beagle."
All Croft and Perry sitcoms are basically farces. Dad's Army was by far the best. My dad loved It Ain't 'Alf Hot Mum because he was in India and Burma in the war, but I suspect that is now unshowable given the questionable attitude to race (including using white British actors as Indians).
Interesting - but what do Jethro Tull think?
Get a room you two.
Reminds me a bit of my favourite theme park theatre show - Cinemagique at Walt Disney Studios at Disneyland Paris. Martin Short stumbles into the screen during a montage of classic movie scenes and fits effortlessly into them. A really great piece of work.
Number 11?
Yes - my willing suspension of disbelief was in overdrive - but very enjoyable nonetheless.
I thought it was, briefly, but the actress was too short. But there's no excuse for the lack of a Lohan story as they were in Just My Luck together.
"Honey, if I wanted a doctor in the family, I would have made a boy!"
My favourite episode of My Name is Earl - and she was the best thing in it. The Salt n Pepa routine was just perfect.
