Sadly - I've just done a bit more research into it, and he said in a Q&A in September that he's still shooting for 2020 for Volume 2.

Isn't Shout the one that is pretty much a John Lennon hagiography?
That point about their transformation is the key to the Beatles for me, but with two important additions.
1) They went from She Loves You to Tomorrow Never Knows in JUST THREE YEARS! and
2) They took the public with them
Mark Lewisohn's Tune In (Volume 1) is the book to buy, because it's incredibly detailed, it's as accurate as you will get from anyone, and because after 700+ pages you are still only at the end of 1962 and have two more volumes to look forward to over the coming years. And for those of us who actually come from…
At one point Lewisohn was saying 2020 for Volume 2 and 2027 for Volume 3, but I believe these have now been brought a long way forward, so you may be able to hold out. Volume 1 is a fantastic piece of work.
Henry Rollins, you're hard!
New word: Quinncidence (noun) – ending up in a terrorist cell, on the day the boss gets released and you're just about well enough to whack him.
The UK broadsheet newspaper The Guardian did pretty much the same thing a while back on its website - the article and comments are superb.
I couldn't believe my luck. 22 nights sold out in 15 minutes or something and for once in such circumstances I actually managed to get one. Her first gigs in 35 years.
And if you want another utterly bonkers and utterly brilliant performance, how about her video for Breathing - the song told from the perspective of an unborn child during a nuclear attack.
And also, crucially, the first self-penned UK number one for a female artist.
Do - I was really disappointed with the Red Shoes at the time, but her later stuff is wonderful.
The version of Lily on DC is incredible - I was lucky enough to get a ticket to see her last year and she entered the stage performing it. Sadly the people in front of me still finding their seats or eating their sandwiches/talking to each other largely ruined it.
John Lydon is another huge, huge fan.
Kate does nothing from a "marketing perspective". She did a new vocal because the old one embarrassed her in the way most people would be embarrassed at seeing/hearing their 19 year old self at the age of 27. Personally, I love both versions.
Thank you for alerting me to this performance!
