If Anibal Sanchez can continue to look like an ace, the Nats may have a shot. 

The Nats bullpen, really a puppy pen, has been their problem all year. Their historic turnaround was in spite of the bullpen. Mike Rizzo refused to address the pen last year and again this year. Martinez may trust only two guys in the pen, but only because that’s all he has.

I think Washington’s slow start caused all the bettors to internalize ‘the Nationals are bad but lucky,’ when in fact they’ve had the best record in baseball since bottoming out in late May.

Stouts mix well with spice. Granted, I’m a fan of stouts, so this might have some bias, but even a light and accessible stout like Guinness complements spicy fare quite well.

It’s the exact opposite of craft brewers and the care they show for the craft itself. They aren’t bogged down by a ruthless cost-cutting mindset. I think people are more interested in drinking White Claw/knockoffs than light beer, possibly even craft beer.

It really is incredible, the amount of work it takes to make every drop of mass produced light beer taste the same as there’s zero margin for error.
