Or full Reggie Jackson, maybe. He gave no shits, but then he was a HoF’er from the git-go and came to NYC from Oakland, having proven himself and didn’t think he should take crap from anyone. One of my favorite all-time players.

My daughter just announced to our family that she is engaged (and to a great guy). She called my mom, who asked her what her “china pattern”is. She told us and we all laughed. Heck, we just went with Stoneware (now all gone but for 2 bowls) when we got married. I have told my kids that the best thing to do when both

I love Joe Hill’s book, Horns, but absolutely hated the film. Not too surprised another adaptation of one of his books didn’t turn out too well, sadly. That usually seems to be the case.

We drove through Ohio on 4th of July weekend once. I swear there was a speed trap on every wide space in the road. (on 76, I think). And there was someone pulled over in most of those traps. Amazing.

Well, technically, hops are green, so beer is a salad. (Stolen from some gif somewhere)

Maybe add something to the recipe to produce a new chaw? (eeww)

I like logic puzzles and games that include logic puzzles. Or at least games that make me feel like I am thinking a bit. One good place for logic puzzles is Kaser Software. Two of my favorites there are Honeycomb Hotel and Sherlock. All of his stuff works on every platform.

I think we should start a list of bad team names. Also car names, as I hate the Kia “Soul” name. Wtf?

You forgot your “/s” text at the end. Well, ignoring MY family is pretty darn easy. You can ignore my family, too, if you want.

And especially if you worked at a restaurant in Kansas. Well, working in Kansas significantly ups the odds, anyway. (Grew up in the MidWest. Left as soon as I could.)

Ah, now I get where the idea for “genuine” Himalayan Salt Lamps came from, which are sold in your friendly Walmart stores near you, today.  (I could never figure out why anyone would every make or buy such a thing. Still can’t mind, mind you.)

Maybe this is the new thing. Verizon sold their HQ in Ashburn, VA (back in 2015?, maybe) then rented back about half of it. They were only using about half of anyway since they had most of the HQ folk go work at home or on the road full time, I think. (That, and they sold some of their in-house companies that weren’t

If you liked reading the books in the GoT series, you really can do better. LM Bujold is a great example of the good stuff out there. Rachel Aaron and Elizabeth Moon are also great examples, to go along with this article’s emphasis. Enjoy.  (Really. GoT is crappy middle-school level male fantasy, not worth anyone’s

I really doubt GRRM will ever write another book. If he does, I won’t be reading it. I was done with his books before the GoT series, but the quality of the series the first few seasons drew me back. I have never been impressed with the middle school level writing skills (if that) of GRRM so I will gladly not be

Bingo. It also happens that my wife and I have very different palates. Hers is way more sensitive than mine to tastes and I think that comes from her love of cooking. Me, I just barely can taste the difference between red and white, and I love them both. Funny, I can tell the difference between cheap and expensive

I really doubt there will be any more books. What would be the point? Winter has arrived and left. Cersei will be the next evil destroyed. Then what?

Our bank no longer has tellers. Just little 8 little empty offices with conference desks and 2 employees for loan applications/credit card issues/lock box access. The only time I have ever been there in the last 9 years is to get my old credit card re-issued as my original had stopped working. (From overuse, probably)

I developed an age-related allergy to shrimp, raw fish, and all shellfish at around the age 31. Not life-threatening, just extremely annoying. On my 2nd date with my eventually-to-be-(and still is) wife, I accidentally spent an hour in the bathroom (more or less) after we got to her house. Her sister still loves to

I have always loved the relegation idea. The obvious problem with this idea is that the MLB teams all own the AAA teams. So, it would just be a double-switch, so to speak, with so many issues then rising. Still, the idea is just so awesome.
