Jeez, the name throws me off! I definitely would not want MY KARMA anywhere near my car, although I suppose by definition it already is. Seems like it would be double-karma, for the loss.

I was riding in a Jeep in ‘72 in South Korea near Osan AB and the crankshaft fell off. The front half of the crankshaft. Luckily, I think we were going about 10 mph at the time. Four or 5 guys in the Jeep and no one got a scratch. That must have been where my luck went. Well, part of it anyway. Loved the old Jeeps.
How long does an electric car battery last? How much does a new one cost? What is done with the old ones? Curious. Thanks.
No non-Christian will probably get that reply. (Yes, some of us ex-Christians might get it, too.)
Agreed. Also, they have their country’s own set of prejudices, for their own made-up reasons.
^This is totally the reason it happened. As noted above, there were pretty heavy T-Storms rolling through the area. Here in Chantilly (~22 mi west of DC downtown), we were drenched with T-boomers, etc., at about 6:30 pm or so. That would put the storm, if it stayed “hot”, at Nats Stadium around 8:30 - 9 pm. So,…
Thanks. I think I will give this a sincere effort. Btw, every time I see the phrase “lucid dreaming”, I am reminded of John Wren-Lewis, the husband of a researcher into lucid dreaming, Dr. Ann Faraday. He and his wife were given poisoned candy (in a theft attempt) on a bus ride in Thailand. They both survived (barely)…
Surveys are a tool used by people being paid to be managers who can’t be bothered to actually manage. I don’t respond or reply to surveys, period.
Geez, I do with I had the guts (and the money) to just pour concrete over my lawn and paint it green, with the occasional petunia-colored corner.
Kansas is not nearly as flat as southern Indiana and Illinios. Kansas is a whole state of unremitting nothing but farms, granted, but it’s mostly rolling hills. All of Southern Illinois and Indiana is nothing but FLAT (ignoring the oil wells and grain silos).
How long have the really low car loan rates been in existence? If you have good credit, a 1-3% deal is easy. So, hey, make that loan as long as you want as long as you aren’t paying very much over the agreed-upon price. (At least, that’s the way I understand it. Could be wrong, again.)
Then again, the DC area only has about 10% of the people who live in the Washington, DC Metro Area. You are not wrong, but there is more to consider, generally speaking, there. The Metro area is (from my POV, anyway) significantly black on the east and northeast side of DC, while less so west and southwest. My…
In a TV interview with Dan Kolko, MASN, after Dan asked him about the reports of him taking advice from Murphy, Ryan stated that he really has not consciously changed anything in his swing. All the tabloids would love to say otherwise but apparently it just ain’t so. Go Nats!
The “child living with monkeys” story seems to re-appear every 3-5 years in India. Wonder what it is about India that makes kids want to go live with monkeys. (/jk)
I tried a “Black Box” Merlot. Pretty hard to screw up a Merlot. That or I am very easy to please. The first day it was okay, at best. Day 3 was vinegar, at best. Sad, maybe it was the car ride from Louisville, KY to Richmond, VA. Won’t be doing that again. (The wine. The ride happens all too frequently. More wine!)
This is either:
Didn’t know that. My taste in beer is pretty narrow. (Not that my taste is any good; it’s just the way I like the stuff.) I prefer stouts and “wee heavy” sorts of beer. Here in VA, it’s pretty hard to find non-IPA and non-Pilsner beers in cans. Heck, the beers I do like (and Guiness is not one of my favorites) don’t…
The link to the flags page is broken.
And if you can tell me about a beer that comes in a can that is really good beer, I would appreciate learning of it. Thanks.
Actually, I missed seeing Wilt’s name in the article, so thought I was rectifying that. My bad. Otherwise, I have no idea what you are going on about. Sorry.
