If more people had a basic understanding of how economics work (specifically in regards to sports) I wouldn’t need to spend my time explaining to my conservative bosses how no, NFL players aren’t overpaid for playing a game, or to commenters on this website how if someone is complaining about how little money they

thats the only way they make money, no one goes to the games.

I get the complaint but is the money really there? I mean there’s three people plus a leg visible in that first photo in seats that people pay a hundred bucks a pop for in NBA games.

Who would have thought running off nearly all the readers of a site would reduce the profits to the point where the site would have to be shutdown or sold? I’m sure Disney will buy you, you’re always up their ass doing PR and damage control, and you’re not above spouting some fake news to get clicks, defending horrible

it isn’t laziness. I would say “laziness” is never a reason that a game is poorly ported, buggy, missing features etc. Even mediocre video game devs are making less money and working harder than they would be in a non-game developer role.

Most folks don’t care about “Diversity.
We want equal opportunity in “FAIR Competition” for a spot.
Results should speak for itself, not politicized results.

Then why are you on a thread about Automobile racing?

This article tries WAY to hard to use convoluted and not 100% sound reasoning “explain” why a certain social and political agenda is important to the growth or all around betterment of motorsports. Like Jalopnik feels the need to justify why they have a certain slant or bias... I honestly didn’t even finish it. To the

Nothing says I support women like getting a bunch of them fired.

Counterpoint: Some of us just want to relax and enjoy the racing. “Important social justice issues” don’t have to monopolize every conversation.

The only thing that keeps you out of a race car is cash, every one of your articles are about rich toffs having a go

What on earth was the point of this article? The entire internet is full of people writing articles and a bunch of other people shouting in agreement right below them. It’s happening in this comment section too!

Robertson didn’t mean ‘interject yourself.

I think you are missing an important point. We don’t make those characters suffer because they are queer. We make them suffer because they are protagonists and/or important characters.

“Happy” is the death of drama for genre fiction. The fight for inclusion for all historically marginalized groups shouldn’t result in happy endings. Boring stories are happy.

Eh. I’m guessing by and large we really don’t want white athletes sharing their considered opinions on race and politics.

nope. Not okay with this. And the person who posted this should at least have some balls to put their name behind it.

Remember folks, doxxing is bad unless it’s done against people you disagree with.

There’s that old Gawker feeling.

Well, they’re not the only ones to use scantily clad women to attract interest.
