I posit that this is one of the times where baseball is good. Him getting thrown at his next AB for showboating will be the opposite.

And if the ref had missed that incredibly obvious penalty in a big relegation battle, there’d be a massive shitstorm about that as well.

Everybody was CONCACAFighting... their fists were fast as CONCACAFlightning.

This is an unspeakable tragedy not only for the players and their loved ones, but for the small community itself. In small town Saskatchewan, our hockey teams are our backbone, and the local rink is the hub of all activity. I’m hoping against hope that Humboldt finds a way to come together to rally around each other

Prince’s closing trifecta of “I Would Die 4 U” > “Baby I’m A Star” > “Purple Rain” is pretty damn solid.

I think this is outrageous, just don’t count the ballot as it clearly was an honest mistake. It is not in particular fine print, I just think she thought she satisfied the conditions outlined on the ballot.

I completely agree with you that they’re not outrageous. The market sets these rates and this is (extremely shady) crisis-level PR.

I almost feel like you could do 25 of these on ‘Jaws’ alone. There are so many wonderfully staged scenes that the entire movie is propelled from one sequence to the next—the shark attack where the kid is taken, ending with that forlorn and anguished shot of the little raft bumping up against the shore, the 4th of July

I know it doesn’t count or if Speilberg had anything to do with it, but the opening credits sequence to Catch Me if You Can is pretty great

Much as I enjoy the hobo HJO of Silicon Valley, I am kind of disappointed his career was derailed by Pay It Forward. This and Sixth Sense are really remarkable performances, and while there may have just been a dearth of good such roles for him, it did seem like a super-promising career flamed out.

A.I. is one of the most maligned and misunderstood movies Spielberg has ever made. I remember people booing at the screening I attended.

Hopefully this case will serve as a reminder to the public that Atlanta blew a 28-3 lead in the Super Bowl.

Well I don’t understand the overwhelming need to scream out shitty things at athletes in venues where you know beforehand that that’s not how things are done.

AvE’s thoughts/explanation on the bridge collapse. He always produces interesting videos.

Bobby I totally agree with your assessment. It was very entertaining, as more movies should be. But I must disagree about Jesse Plemons being most famous for being Kirsten Dunst’s baby daddy. He was very good as Todd in Breaking Bad and as Ed the butcher in Fargo, where he and Dunst met. He was great as Gary. Loved

How else can we expect Spurs fans to find the silverware?

12th man hates 13th amendment.

I can relate. On way to work today my shoe became untied. I faced the uncertain fear of stopping to tie it and risk being run over or push on. I decided to press on in constant fear of possibly tripping. Barely made it.
