For those like me who are denied access to the video

Indeed. And about object recognition, I got a mattress stored at the wall on the side of my parking box. There is an angle where the teslavision thinks I’m parking myself at the side of a semi truck. Oh well.

I owned a literally rust-pierced CX for a few weeks, I remember the plush ride and odd “satellites” replacing stalks, but I don’t remember the self-centering steering. Well, it was 30 years ago...

Fancy an even grittier french cover with a nice Bordeaux accent?

> the Tesla 3/Y is a good Accord replacement

Do you eat bananas?

On battery aging, read https://www.recurrentauto.com/research/how-long-do-ev-batteries-last

Porsche worrying about being too expensive? O tempora, O mores.

Well, crossovers are so bad they should only be mentioned alongside trailers and 18-wheelers!

About american (car) sizes :

The entire western market is more or less screwed, indeed. Instead of fooling around with it, they aim for China where the market is much more attractive, it’s the main reason we don’t get it : we’re not the target.

Then they are now learning that an EV is more efficient and less a headache to design with a custom EV-only platform. There were few great EVs on multi-energy platform (a few Kias, basically).

Of course, but the estate/shooting brake/whatever the fork you call it can’t have less of a cross section than the sedan.

Yes, there is a threshold around that : once you can drive about 2hrs on the nhighway with about 75% of the battery (85-10%), stops are needed anyway.

I speak from experience, not theory. ;)

Thanks, that’s what I thought ; a big butt has an efficiency cost, for cars.

There are already more charging stations than petrol stations here. For the time it takes, it’s a welcome pause on long journeys. And I live in an apartment too, but my garage box has a simple 220V plug ; I don’t need more.

Yet another expensive “cost-saving” measure... Had Carlos Tavares infiltrated the Porsche board?

Come live in Europe my friend! Here, not having the possibility to be obliterated by a moron thinking he can drive this 10t-rig means we’re actually more free.

Well, you’re ripe for EVs then! The charging stops do add time but also mean you’re much fresher at arrival.
