Popcross is a bit of a lame title, they had a killer with “deux-chevauchée fantastique à Argenton-sur-Creuse” (sorry, untranslatable, mumble-mumble-french-flair-mumble) - and the finishing Beltoise quote isn’t half bad either.

Not that I feel disappointed, no, but I don’t know... I might have expected a lovely lady and Jean-Sol Partre. Maybe I’m a tad too french.
What he said.
That’s the point for me : I like driving, I like performance tyres with some grip, I can’t find any that handles snow decently (at least not in the now meagre 195/50-15 size of my ClioRS) . I just second the fact that on dry pavement, snow tyres do not have as much grip as a good summer tyre, even if it’s cold.
OMFG it is almost as expensive as the european base prices of these cars!
Reminds me of that, actually !

And most important of all, how many puffalumps can it carry in a narrow canyon road?
Ran when parked (lamborghini style).
Hey, is that a SR-22 or a SR-20 around 2:50?
You guys should come in France and test a Secma F16 Evo. Same niche (RWD roadster for two people and not much more), less weight (560kg), NA 110hp motor ; there is also a upgraded version with a 200hp turbo. Just sayin’.
Clio RS’s!
Because gin tastes soooo good with gasoline! Although, if you ask me, it’s even better with diesel.
Ditto! The plan A is to take the road less travelled, quite literally.
This section was very scenic, but it was closed in 2008 due to increasing rockfall concerns, and is now bypassed by a 1.7km tunnel. There are talks to convert the upper part as a walking promenade, though.
A different sound from old Europe... I do like the waspy wail of my Clio RS1 past 4k, but OTOH really find it an inconvenience in daily driving, as even the idle is quite loud to my taste (bought it used, don’t know for sure if the exhaust is stock or not).

The reason is the law... but you got a point in that such a speed might be legal on the same road in Germany (provided it’s not that urban), and highway accidentology is not that bad there. On a road that is designed for it, speed is a very secondary causal factor in accidents.
+1, don’t try to be too finely litteral with this kind of things. It’s just a little GDMFSOB but with a final vowel that suits well some (linguistic) stress, as well demonstrated by Exhibit A.
