If you simply want to fly, just get a paraglider! Same order of performance as the SG38 here, much cheaper and easier to own (a rucksack vs. a trailer), much easier to operate too : park at the landing place, (hitch)hike to the takeoff at the top of the hill, unfold glider, take a few steps, fly.
