I’m waiting for the Turkish Van mod, so we can go fishing and have swimming and underwater levels a’la Mario & Luigi!

It would certainly be on-brand for him. Hell I wouldn’t be surprised of Russell just comes out and admits “yeah I said that, so fucking what?”
The studio that animated “Arcane” for Netflix managed a grimy dirty sort of feel to CGI animation, though admittedly that show is a really high bar to shoot for. If you haven’t seen it, go for it. Don’t be put off by the fact that it’s an adaption of freakin’ “League of Legends,” of all things. I’d argue that it’s a…
And I’M the one in the grays?
I for one appreciated the old school “give them the old haircut” method of de-aging an actor’s appearance. Somehow it was refreshing despite the show being a sea of CGI. (Also, damn, Obi-Wan’s Ep. 2 hairdo was even worse than I remember, lol.)
I’m not sure he got the franchise “taken away” from him. He was hired pretty specifically because of his strength at retro/pulpy feeling period pieces like First Avenger and The Rocketeer, and this specific MCU movie needed that sort of feel. This is something Joe Johnston does as well as, if not better than, anyone…
Re. the “Vader is Anakin” deal, Palpatine refers to Anakin as his new apprentice “Darth Vader” several times during the final act of RotS, IIRC including during that final fight against Yoda. Also IIRC, Kenobi meets up with Yoda again on Bail Organa’s ship before the two Jedi go into exile. (Doesn’t Yoda say…
I know I’m a gray so y’all think I’m some right wing racist dicknozzle and thus nobody will ever see this or take it seriously, but I must ask, in this very specific instance with this very specific musician: Is it cultural appropriation if he grew up in and was immersed in that very culture himself? How is being as…
If “except” is intentional, I applaud you.
The Series X actually isn’t so bad, size-wise. It compares favorably to the various Xbox Ones and 360s, actually. Standing them all vertically, the Series X at 11.85” is pretty much the same height a Xbox One X or S (11.8” and 11.6” respectively), which in turn are only a bit shorter than the OG RROD Xbox 360 (12.2”).…
Counterpoint: Anson Mount in S2 trumps all the good of Season 1 *and* all the bad of Season 2. His Pike actually feels pretty consistent with Bruce Greenwood’s Pike but Mount’s is somehow more… compelling or magnetic or something. Not sure how to describe it, but there’s an ethereal *something* about Anson Mount that…
UPDATE:
If yours had red mag wheels and a black frame then you and I had the same bike, and yeah, nigh indestructible. Alas, I too was not.
Re. Silly meme emblems…… My Halo 5 Clippy emblem says “Hi.” Alas it doesn’t provide any helpful tips on using Windows 95 or MS Word…
Speaking as an owner of a base model 2020 Nissan Versa, it blows my mind that Subaru can’t figure out how to add these features to their cars. The manual version of they Crosstrek is lacking a lot of these same features. Another weird bit: the manual Crosstrek doesn’t even have push button start, whereas the CVT…
I’m pretty sure this fuel gauge arrow is standard Nissan procedure. My Versa has it too. (Don’t hate—it’s a 2020 model with a manual. Doin’ my part even tho I’m nigh broke.)
I remember thinking ‘Merrick’ was pretty decent but I don’t think I read anything past that one. Not sure if it counts as a Vampire book or a Mayfair book, though. Also I don’t remember much about it other than thinking it was quite a bit better than Memnoch the Devil.
NOOOOO if we stop at Queen of the Damned then we woulnd’t get an adaption of The Tale of the Body Thief! It’s one of the earliest weird and silly books, depending on your definition of ‘weird’ and ‘silly’ but it’s a lot of fun nonetheless. It would probably take up like half a season at most. Well worth the time,…
All engines are motors but not all motors are engines.
Current base model Versa (ie. the one with a manual) is a good solid car in a vacuum. When you add an MSRP of around $15-16k, it becomes a pretty great option as an affordable commuter. You don’t get CarPlay, just basic Bluetooth. But you get a manual!
