I’m sober now, but I had a really bad heroin problem for 5 years and once went through withdrawal on a cross country flight. I ate 15 Benadryl and 10 loperamides just to keep from going crazy from anxiety and puking/shitting on the elderly couple next to me. It was a barely manageable living hell.

Are we just going to ignore the fact that he used “gonna” followed by “2B”? Isn’t that redundant/poor grammar? I’ve always read “gonna” as “going to be”.

Actually this was something that was done way more in the 80's and 90's than it is today. Hollywood has actually been hiring age appropriate actors and actresses for teen roles for over a decade or longer.
