FLCL has meant so many things to me since I first saw it in high school. It’s been hopeful, yearning, bittersweet; when I was younger it helped me to realize I should hold onto what I had, and years later I thought of the show again when I realized it was time to move on from those same things in my life... and as I

I definitely appreciate how they’ve tried to make her a more fleshed out character in the reboot series, and looking at Lara in a vacuum I think they’re on the right track, but yeah, they kind of forgot to write a compelling narrative for her to experience. Since they’ve picked the seriouspants route, everything kind

I’m not sure I’ve played a game that much and realized I /hated/ it, but I’ve definitely fallen into games that have a particular kind of lizard-brain “ooh the numbers move” loop where I drop endless hours into them even though I’m not actively enjoying myself. NMS is definitely the latest example, Destiny another. It

jesus, their little frowns.

Whoa, this looks really cool! I love how some of the ramps take on more of a Trackmania kind of feel. I still think the Adventure / 2006 kind of framework could make for an awesome Sonic game if done well, but this is another approach that seems like it could have a ton of potential.

I’m assuming they’re just cool-looking leftovers from something that didn’t make it into the game (or will maybe get added later on), but it’d be rad if there are actually some secrets to be found. It’s always a blast to follow communities that are working together to uncover stuff, favorite example being the first

This was one of the best weekends of Content in a while. Thanks, guys!

The Project Diva series is awesome. If anyone’s in the mood for a fun rhythm game it’s absolutely worth checking out, even if you’re not at all into the whole Miku thing.

Great movie. I figured I’d like it but it wound up being pretty easily my favorite of theirs. A simple story well told, with stunning animation and a fantastic score.

Now playing

Now that it’s had a year to settle, I really do think Undertale deserves to be on the list.

Kind of a bummer that it’ll only allow one controller at a time, the ‘Bone W10 adapter can do up to four.

That startled the hell out of me the first time it happened.

I’d love it if they added in a “casual” flight toggle. On for when you just want to fly in a line toward something without having to worry about anything, off for when you want to get a little more involved with flight.

The early-mid 90s Lucasarts point ‘n clicks were the defining games of my early childhood and The Secret of Monkey Island is the first game that I have memory of playing (and set in stone my weird lifelong fascination with pirates), but I think Day of the Tentacle might be the one that was the most childhood-definey.

I 209.4%’d the game on 360 and PS4/PSV but only got about halfway through on Steam, so when I saw the update come through last night I figured it was finally time to jump back in and finish it (again-again).

Phil and his company being doxxed is just a bit more than “internet drama.”
