The gradual realization of who the story was really about is pretty much one of my favorite things in gaming.

Going to see this in a few weeks, which is something I never would have seen myself saying just a couple years ago. I think the realization that there are actual people playing actual music along with it was the turning point for me.

Huh. It’s not insignificant for the most prominent YouTuber to reflect like this, particularly re: insensitive comments. Pretty cool. Having a minor “you know, maybe we’ll be alright” kind of moment.

The product placement in this didn’t even remotely bother me. Characters aren’t calling out the brand, there are no lingering close-ups on oversized logos, they’re just using Microsoft stuff. The only advertising that registered as weird to me was one or two car billboards off in the background of a couple settings.
